City-State 3D: Information for Decision Makers & Local Workshop Hosts

Imagine city-states. Think in 3D. Explore ideas. Make friends.

A City-State 3D workshop could bring people together to explore 3D city design, civic questions, architecture, waterparks, research, artwork, and conversation. These are possibilities to inspire—not instructions to follow. Every gathering can reflect its participants, independent host, and community.

Two Ways to Enjoy Workshops

Participate in a Workshop

Enjoy making things, learning something new, meeting people, and sharing ideas. Beginners and experienced creators can each bring their own interests.

You don't need to become an expert or start a project outside the workshop.

Be a Local Workshop Host

Imagine bringing people together in a library, community space, or another suitable setting. A gathering might involve computers, drawing, discussion, or a mix.

Hosts independently choose what suits their community and available resources.

Participation and hosting are equally valuable. Someone may enjoy either—or both.

Workshop Inspirations

A few starting points for imagining your own activities, not fixed formats or lesson plans.

Three-Dimensional City Spaces

Imagine new purposes for rooftops, parking lots, shopping centers, additional stories, and basements.

Cities & Habitats Beyond Earth

Imagine future places on Earth, the Moon, Mars, or in space, and ask what science they would require.

City Simulations & Visual Art

Explore architecture, simulation games, 3D scenes, civic information, and storytelling.

Waterparks, Nature & Water

Imagine waterparks and public spaces with attention to oceans, ecology, and water conservation.

Explore more possibilities in Ideas

Creative workshop possibility

T-Shirt Art & Online Stores

Imagine turning your own waterpark artwork into something you can wear. An individual or a group could explore T-shirt design without needing to sell anything.

A T-Shirt Just for Yourself

Design original waterpark artwork and imagine having a single T-shirt printed for your own enjoyment. One shirt, made for you, is a complete creative project—no selling or business required.

An Online T-Shirt Store?

People interested in entrepreneurship could also explore ideas for an online T-shirt store: original collections, artwork presentation, and their own independent projects. That's one optional direction, not something City-State 3D is operating.

Imagine an everyday conversation: “Hey, is that City-State 3D?” — “Well, my project is called …”

A striking waterpark-themed shirt can spark a friendly conversation about the wearer's own creative project, whether or not it uses a City-State 3D logo.

Four interconnected possibilities

Four Civilizational Goals

↑ Civilization

These four areas invite imagination and conversation. They are possible sources of inspiration for workshops, not a prescribed program.

Someday, an advanced textbook called Polyopolis & Superorganism could explore how these four goals might be integrated with optional Co-op & Crowdfund strategies. Designing the textbook could itself become a global collaborative project, with people contributing ideas, research, and artwork—similar to the vision of independently created nodes of the Internet Science Museum (SciMu.org).

A world of possibilities

City Planning Inspirations

Imagine designing an entire neighborhood, transforming shopping centers, or exploring ways an existing waterpark could inspire a whole community. How might parks, paths, transit, nature, and public gathering spaces connect?

Participants and Local Workshop Hosts can explore any of these possibilities through conversation, drawings, 3D scenes, or shared curiosity. These are invitations to imagine, not instructions for how to plan a real city.

For another perspective, explore Strong Towns and its Local Conversations. These are independent resources for inspiration, not City-State 3D affiliations.

Information & Conversations

Useful information for decision makers might come from personal research, an unexpected conversation between workshop participants, a YouTube comment, or a social media discussion. People with different experiences can learn from one another, whether or not any idea is ever acted upon.

City-State 3D is a noncommercial creative hobby. These possibilities do not imply scheduled workshops, official partnerships, or a requirement to adopt anyone's suggestions.
